Chris Porter is a Professional Fire Fighter at the Town of Oakville, where he currently works frontline in the fire suppression division as a Firefighter/Fire Officer, On-Shift Training Instructor and Peer Support Team member. Chris holds several certifications including NFPA 1021, NFPA 1041, NFPA 1001, 1002. He is currently working toward certification for an upper level senior officer and has also taught privately in the Professional Rescue and Training sector for the past 23 years. As an effective communicator and organizer, Chris has mentored countless numbers of successful fire applicants and has direct insight into preparation for interview skills and current hiring practices. Chris also enjoys time as a small business owner, graphic designer and football coach at all levels.
