Generously funded by a Mitacs Accelerate Program Grant and the Board of Directors of the Amherstburg Freedom Museum.<\/p> During the exhibit opening we will also award the Mac Simpson Award and Maturine-Romain Scholarship to students of African descent who are commencing post-secondary studies in September 2023. The Mac Simpson Award was created to honour the legacy of Museum founder, Melvin Mac Simpson.
