The exhibit “Beyond the Underground Railroad: A History of Black Settlement in Nineteenth Century Amherstburg,” was created by University of Windsor student Karleigh Kochaniec as part of the Local Black History Internship Program, which is a partnership between the Department of History, University of Windsor and the Amherstburg Freedom Museum. Generously funded by a Mitacs Accelerate Program Grant and the Board of Directors of the Amherstburg Freedom Museum.
