Emancipation Jubilee Event – Family Day In The Park August 4th

Join the Black Council of Windsor Essex on Monday, August 4th at Jackson Park for a full day of family, fun, and history!

11:00 AM – 5:00 PM: BYOF&D Family Picnic – Bring your own food and drinks and enjoy games, Black History Trivia, face painting, music, and interactive walking tours hosted by the Essex County Black Historical Research Society.

1:00 – 1:45 PM: Emancipation Tour #1 – Explore the historic grounds of the world-renowned Emancipation Celebrations.

2:00 – 2:45 PM: NorthStar Cheer Demonstration – High-energy cheer routines to keep the afternoon lively.

3:00 – 3:45 PM: Emancipation Tour #2 – Another chance to discover the park’s rich history and legacy.
