The Amherstburg Freedom Museum is proud of the positive preservation and promotion of the “Black Thread in the Canadian Tapestry” that has truly educated and heightened awareness of the contributions and accomplishments of African Canadians. We feel the integrity of Black Culture has been uplifted over the last four decades by the numerous heritage exhibits, stories, special events and publications covered by media, partnerships, research, and resource materials which have been compiled, catalogued and archived at our facility.
