International Underground Railroad Memorial 20th Anniversary and ECBHRS AGM

On October 20, 2001, the International Underground Railroad Memorial (Gateway to Freedom in Detroit and Tower of Freedom in Windsor) by sculptor Ed Dwight was unveiled as part of the Detroit tricentennial celebrations. Join us for a panel discussion with volunteers who were involved with the monument project. The discussion will be followed by the Annual General Meeting of the Essex County Black Historical Research Society. Note that all are welcome to observe but only ECBHRS members in good standing are eligible to vote.
