In collaboration with Fort Malden National Historic Site, Parks Canada to create the exhibit “A Tradition of Service: Black Military Presence In Amherstburg” which is on display until November 12th.
The exhibit has been created in two parts and can be viewed across both sites. Fort Malden’s exhibit focuses on the history of the War of 1812 and the Upper Canada Rebellion. Amherstburg Freedom Museum’s exhibit looks at individuals who fought in these military campaigns including John Joseph Mulder, Josiah Henson and Jeremiah Harris.
