Black History – Artifacts
The term “collection” as used in this Collections Records Management Policy is understood to mean the acquisition of historically and culturally significant artifacts and archival material that contribute to an understanding of Black heritage in such areas as human behaviour, customs, activities, episodes, institutions, personalities, circumstances and technology.
The museum’s collection is primarily an education collection, due to the limited Black History information available within the education system. We collect to research for the purpose of education and education for the purpose of research. To donate artifacts to the museum please contact the museum at 519-736-5433.
