Join us for our February edition of “Ford City Funnies” hosted by Shawn Townsend and featuring Bella Hugley and our headliner T.Barb!

Shawn Townsend is a comedy veteran who has shared the stage with the likes of Dave Landau, Leo Dufour, Melvin Bender, and John Heffron, just to name a few.

From growing up biracial in Detroit to raising his own little code shifting racial chameleons in Windsor, Shawn’s unique perspectives and punchlines will tilt reality just long enough to make you think… and laugh!

Originally hailing from the vibrant city of Detroit, Bella Hugley has called Atlanta home for over a decade. She emerged in Atlanta’s ever-growing entertainment scene in 2008 as a newcomer worth watching, and has become a beloved up-and-coming figure in the local comedy scene. With a quick wit, infectious energy, and a knack for finding humor in everyday situations, she has captivated audiences across the city and beyond.

Known for her impeccable timing and ability to connect with any crowd, Bella uses laughter as a way to navigate through life’s ups and downs. Her unique perspective on life, relationships, and the world around her has provided endless material for her hilarious routines.

Whenever she’s asked, she explains that her purpose is to bring joy and laughter to audiences of all backgrounds. Whether she’s performing at popular comedy clubs, corporate events, or local festivals, she effortlessly commands the stage and leaves audiences in stitches.

Beyond her natural talent for comedy, Bella is also a gifted writer and storyteller and has written and directed several award winning short films and streaming series. She often uses her experience as a writer and filmmaker on stage. Her ability to weave personal anecdotes into her performances adds an extra layer of relatability and charm to her act. Audiences find themselves nodding along, unable to resist the infectious laughter that fills the room.

Tiffany “T.Barb” Barber is a comedian and actress who quit a 14-year social work career to pursue her dreams. Her hilarious stand up, online commentaries, skits, and monologues keep her fans thoroughly entertained.

The Detroit native known for her viral, “Only In Detroit” series is a master stand-up comedian who has been on multiple television networks including Amazon Prime, BET Soul, Fox, VICE, Tubi, NBC, and ABC News, to name a few. She has headlined The Motor City Comedy Festival, The Detroit Women of Comedy festival twice, and also participated in the Traverse City Comedy Festival.

T.Barb has also worked with some of the biggest stars in entertainment, including Bill Bellamy, Jackie Kashian, DeRay Davis, Chante Moore, Trey Songz, Donnell Rawlings, Marsha Warfield, Micheal Colyar, ISMO, and more.

This funny phenom has also been featured on Keep Your Distance, Literary Death Match, America’s Got Talent, Ted Talk Detroit, Hour Detroit, Metrotimes, BLAC Magazine, and the Michigan Chronicle amongst other publications.

She travels across the country sharing the gift of laughter and has performed at The Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv, Carolines on Broadway, The Mothership, Little Caesars Arena, Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle, Traverse City Opera House, Laugh Boston, and hundreds of venues across the country.

In addition, T.Barb’s humorous comedy album, “T.Barb Live at The Independent” is available on all platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify, and Tidal, which includes the comedy house music single, “Scoochie on The Coochie”.
