Join us on Thursday, November 11th at 1pm for “Fighting a Double War: Remembering Windsor’s Unsung Black Heroes Who Fought Fascism Overseas and Racism at Home.”
This presentation will be given by Shantelle Browning-Morgan & Catherine MacDonald who argue Black Canadians had to fight two battles in the 1940s: racism and war. The purpose of this webinar is to recognize and honour the personal excellence revealed by Black Windsorites who fought for a country that would not fight for them. Shantelle and Catherine will examine the significant challenges these heroes had to overcome in order to serve and their accomplishments in spite of this.
