The Honourable Justice Lloyd Dean was appointed to the Ontario Court of Justice in October, 2005. He presides primarily in Windsor as a Criminal court justice. He is also a sessional instructor at the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor, teaching Criminal Law to first year law students. Prior to becoming a judge he was an assistant Crown Attorney in Windsor for twelve years. He also has an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Windsor. He taught in the high school system in Essex County for six years prior to becoming a full-time assistant Crown Attorney. Justice Dean was a member of the University of Windsor Lancer football team for five years (1985 through 89). He is involved in many community activities within Windsor and Essex County.
